Our Grade 7 and 8 students have been learning about different countries as part of their Geography studies and their culminating task includes a presentation, complete with food samples, from their selected region. Dear BCA Families, We began the week with our Chapel focusing on Easter. Thanks to Mr. Cope, Miss Jaclyn and Mrs. Bruinsma who led us in worship with the wonderful songs, “Because He Lives”, “This is Amazing Love” and “O Praise the Name”.  Mrs. Makonnen spoke to us about the significance of the resurrection. She used the story of Lazarus to illustrate that when we believe in Jesus we are raised up in new life having been set free from the spiritual death brought by our sins. Students and staff wore white to symbolize this new life. Jesus said [...]

Dear BCA Families, We had a great start to the week with our Chapel time on Monday. Mrs. Shantz spoke to us about Easter and students came prepared with their paper crosses. On one side students wrote down something that they asked God’s forgiveness for and as a class went up to the front where there was a big wooden cross, representing the cross Jesus died on to save us from our sins. They placed their paper crosses at the foot of the cross, symbolizing that Jesus forgives our sins. That’s why He died on the cross for us. [...]

Dear BCA Families, Thank you for all those who were able to participate in the Town Hall meeting this past Tuesday evening.  Although it was an emotional evening, the communication was respectful and helpful. It was clear to me that BCA parents love the school.  It was clear that you want change, you want to be involved. You want better communications. It was an important meeting and very helpful as we continue to look to God for direction and prayerfully plan for BCA’s future.  I appreciate the time you took to come out and hear our response to your [...]
