Dear BCA Families,
We began the week with our Chapel focusing on Easter. Thanks to Mr. Cope, Miss Jaclyn and Mrs. Bruinsma who led us in worship with the wonderful songs, “Because He Lives”, “This is Amazing Love” and “O Praise the Name”.
Mrs. Makonnen spoke to us about the significance of the resurrection. She used the story of Lazarus to illustrate that when we believe in Jesus we are raised up in new life having been set free from the spiritual death brought by our sins. Students and staff wore white to symbolize this new life. Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will never die”. She also spoke about how we await the return of Jesus accompanied by those believers who have been raised from the dead and have received eternal life. We ended our Easter chapel by each student laying a lily at the foot of the cross as a way to thank God for the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
