Dear BCA Families,
Thank you for all those who were able to participate in the Town Hall meeting this past Tuesday evening. Although it was an emotional evening, the communication was respectful and helpful. It was clear to me that BCA parents love the school. It was clear that you want change, you want to be involved. You want better communications. It was an important meeting and very helpful as we continue to look to God for direction and prayerfully plan for BCA’s future. I appreciate the time you took to come out and hear our response to your questions and concerns.
BCA Hockey Teams
The BCA floor hockey team travelled to RIM Park on Thursday to compete in the CAASO (Christian Athletic Association of Southern Ontario) annual floor hockey tournament. Both teams made it to the quarter finals. Thanks to their coaches Mr. Cope, Mrs. Struyk and Miss Bowler and to our parent drivers. It was an excellent day of sports participation. See pictures of the tournament below along with senior program students at Cedar Springs learning tennis skills from instructor Scott Jefferies.

Robots Come to BCA!
Following the robotics session for our senior program session, the younger students have had a few sessions from the robotics company. The Grade 2 students enjoyed learning about robotics last week. Darlene Halchuk, from Logics Academy showed students how to use an iPad to program ‘Dash’ to do many different actions. Grade 2s learned how to program the robot called ‘Dash’ to move forward, backwards and side to side. ‘Dash’ could also be programmed to make sounds and change his ‘heart’ colour. Grade 2 students also had the pleasure of having ‘Dash’ play the xylophone. This was a great learning experience for them and they absolutely loved it! (submitted by Miss Bye)

April 15th. The teachers planning this Chapel have requested that all BCA students wear a white (no crest, logo or writing) shirt, tee shirt, blouse etc. on this day. The significance of wearing this will be explained during the chapel. If students don’t have a white shirt they can wear their uniform crested white shirt.
