Dear BCA Families
It has certainly been a dream winter for those who love the wintery weather! The toboggans are getting a lot of use! Hard to believe that March is here and in a few short weeks, March break. In spite of the short week this week there has been a lot going on at the school.
On Monday, the grade 6 class put on their chapel presentation. Students had written skits on the topic of the “I am” statements of Christ, with a particular focus on “I am the light of the world” and “I am the bread of life.” Their skits were amusing and taught the audience to focus on the importance of Christ as the key to peace, hope and finding their way through times of darkness in their lives. The students in the Grade 6 class did a great job and we were very proud of their hard work!
On Tuesday our Grade 5-8 Basketball teams participated in a basketball tournament, the boys at Redeemer and the girls at Hamilton District Christian High School. Congratulations to both teams for their excellent participation. The boys placed 4th
Tri-School Speech Meet
Grade 5-8 students competed at the annual tri-school speech meet on Thursday. BCA was well represented and all 4 students spoke so well. They should be very proud of all the work they put into writing, editing, practicing and reciting their speeches. Well done Luc (Gr.5), Grace M (Gr.6), Shannon (Gr.7), and Bella (Gr.8). Our school placed second overall. Shannon won first place in the senior division.

SK Simple Machines
The Senior Kindergarten class has been learning about simple machines. As a culmination to their unit on Simple Machines, they worked in groups to create their own simple machines to help Pete the Cat rescue Princess Callie from the Dragon’s castle, where she was held hostage: a pulley, catapults, wheel and axle vehicles, and an inclined plane.
