Dear BCA Families
In last week’s Principal’s Corner, I described a summary of the extensive changes we have made to the registration process. If you haven’t already done so, I encourage you to review them. This week I will describe in more detail the use of the Registration Form, the Program Choice Form and the Fees & Payment Options.
Over the next few months, we will offer you an abundance of opportunity to familiarise yourself with the changes and have all of your questions and concerns addressed. The first opportunity will be on Thursday March 28 at 3:45 p.m. when we will host a Q&A session at the school, and you are invited to join us.
The Registration Form is intended to register a new family to Burlington Christian Academy. After registration to the school, a student will require no new registration forms as we have in the past. Instead, we will plan to have your child remain at BCA until graduation. If a family decides to move their children to another school, they will complete a Withdrawal Form to notify us. There is no deadline in the year for registering a new family or student. As we are starting the new registration process, for this year only, we require every family to register their family for the 2019-2020 year.
On behalf of each student, the family will submit a Program Choices Form to define the programs and services for your child for the next year. Within five days of submitting the Program Choices Form for each of the children in the family, we will send the family an itemised invoice. The office will need to receive all the cheques before May 1st. For families who have a pre-authorized debit (PAD) in place, the new rates and fees will be applied as per the invoice starting May 1st. Each year the Board of Directors sets new rates effective June 1. For any payment plans committed after that date, the new rates will apply.
