Dear BCA Families,
We hope you had an enjoyable March Break. We are loving the warmer weather and sunshine, finally! Students have been playing soccer on the upper field after a long winter break from using the field and it is so great to see them running and being so active outdoors.
Great Lakes Christian High School Chorus Group
This week started off with a visit from Great Lakes Christian High School’s traveling a cappella chorus group. We enjoyed listening to their lovely worship songs and hearing about where each student was from. Great Lakes Christian High School is a residential and day school, attracting students from all over the world.

Parent Town Hall Meeting
Last evening we held a parent meeting to discuss the changes to the simplified registration process. Upon request from the parents present, and the obvious desire for input and clarity, it was determined that a school meeting would be helpful at this time, to address certain items.
We invite you to a special Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, April 2 at 7:30 in the music room. The main points on the agenda will be the revision to the GIFTS program, class size guidelines, improved communications and a financial update.
We realize this is short notice but hope that you are able to attend.

Photographer at BCA on Monday April 1
Please note that there will be a professional photographer at the school on Monday April 1st taking pictures of staff and students engaged in classroom activities and recess play as we look to update our promotional materials and images used on our school’s website. We will be following the photography permissions that you indicated upon submitting this year’s registration package to the school – or any updates to those permissions given verbally or in writing to either the office or Michelle Collier earlier this year. We kindly ask that you send your children to school on Monday in their most formal uniform and strictly following the uniform policy guidelines outlined in our Parent Handbook, which is available to review by clicking here. Thank you for your cooperation.

Alison Brindle, founder of Breathe Meditation, and BCA parent, is opening up her next 8-week group Mindfulness Class for students aged 8-14 years on April 20th (1pm-2.30pm).
The course will cover:
• What is stress?
• How can I tell if I am stressed
• What can I do to calm down?
• How can I use mindfulness to improve my happiness, my sleep, my attention, my friendships?
It is an 8-week session (1.5 hours at a time) designed to teach this information and mindfulness techniques to children/youth using games/activities and child-friendly language. Parents are included so that you learn what they learn and everyone can talk the same language. The course is particularly useful for any children that suffer with anxiety.
The cost is $300 for 8 weeks for parent + child/youth
