Dear BCA Families,

This week in Chapel, Mr. Cope spoke about Christ’s statement, “I am the true vine”. He spoke of how Christ used common comparisons to things people would understand in His time period.  Mr. Cope said that today, Christ might have used cell phones to represent us and compared himself to the electric power that lets cell phones work. Without power, a cell phone cannot do anything, but with power it can do amazing things. The Bible tells us that with Christ, we can do great things for God, but without His help, we are powerless. Just like a cell phone, we are fragile, valuable and can be used for evil or good purposes. We should make sure to be used for good purposes and to continually recharge our relationship with God through daily prayer, Bible study and fellowship with other Christians.

This Week in Review

EdVenture | Aspire Climbing Gym

This week, EdVenture had the pleasure of visiting Aspire Climbing Gym. Students experienced a “NinjaWarrior” styled obstacle course where they had to climb, hang, swing and jump their way through 2 different areas. They gained some inspiration for building their own courses in the coming weeks. Our children were excellent ninjas and impressed the Aspire staff with their skill, perseverance, and their excellent behaviour. Thanks to the EdVenture students for being awesome as always!

Mother’s Day Crafts

The SK class enjoyed having Hunter’s mom come to do a special Mother’s Day craft with students.

Curtain Call | Into the Woods JR

Congratulations to our very talented Curtain Call students for an incredible performance last week of “Into the Woods Junior”. It was amazing to see all the hard work poured into every aspect of the production over the past several months, as students were involved not just on stage, but also in set design, lighting, sound, stage crew, and more! Thank you to Miss Michelle and Miss Christina for enriching the lives of these students through the rehearsal process with their expertise, but more importantly, with their positive and loving approach in creating a safe space for students to go outside their comfort zones and discover their God-given talents. And of course, to our parent volunteers, who continue to assist wherever (and whenever!) needed to ensure the show was a success. Thank you to the entire BCA Community for their continued support of the Curtain Call program – it was wonderful to see so many families at the shows over the weekend.   We look forward to another amazing Curtain Call production next year!
