Dear BCA Families,
It has been a great short week! Tuesday I had the privilege of travelling to London with the Track and Field team as they participated in the annual CAASO (Christian Athletic Association of Southern Ontario) Track Meet. Congratulations to all our athletes. Thanks to the many parent helpers and cheerleaders! I will share the results in next week’s PC.
It was brought to my attention that Compassion Society who serves the needy in the Aldershot Community is in need of food donations. Our senior students helped out at Compassion Society before Christmas and were able to see the great work they are doing serving those less fortunate. At this time their food bank is completely depleted. If you are able to help out, please send in any of items listed below. Donations will be accepted until Thursday May 30 in the front lobby.
The following are the most needed items:
Instant coffee, Canned fruit, School safe snacks and lunch items, Salmon, Tuna, Crackers, Canned meat, Rice, Cereals, Honey, Juice (juice box and family size juice), Apple sauce, Ketchup, Salad dressing, Mayonnaise, Fruit Juices, Tea bags, Flour, Sugar, Cooking oil.
Voting begins today and will remain open until Friday May 31st at 11:59pm. Once votes are tabulated, the elected candidates will be notified the week of June 3rd. Click here to learn about our candidates and to access the link to cast your vote.
We need your help to move items in our upstairs storage area so one of our parents can build shelves for storage. Please email email@example.com if you are available any time soon.

Please click here to see the information letter about a fundraiser to assist the Grade 7&8 students who are going to Quebec City the last week of school. Money raised from this will go towards each student for their spending money. Brochures will be sent home with students. Cash/debit can be used to pay and should be received at the front office. We appreciate your support for the Grade 7&8 students. We will accept orders until June 13 and payment is required before the order can be placed. Delivery will occur the afternoon of June 20.
Uniform Truck – Tuesday June 11 from 2-6 p.m. the DGN Kilter’s truck will be at the school selling uniform items for the coming school year.
We will also be having a used uniform sale during the last week of school. Click here for more information.
Toonie Casual Day – This month the Toonie Casual day will be on Thursday May 30th instead of Friday the 31st due to Grandparents Day on the 31st. Students can dress in casual clothes if they bring in a Toonie. Money raised will go directly to Next Door Social Space.
Grandparent’s Day – We are looking forward to hosting Grandparent’s Day on Friday May 31 from 1-3 p.m. in the BCA gym. The students are very excited to perform for their grandparents and show them their classroom.
