Golf Tournament: Gift Card Challenge

Our most popular and exciting contest is back! Read below to learn how to win a Chromebook!

As you know, the school is hosting our Annual Golf Tournament and Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday May 25th at Lowville Golf Club. This is one of our two large school fundraisers for the year and allows us to continue offering your children a superior education in a Christian environment, while also adding unique and diverse programming in the arts, athletics, and experiential learning.

In lieu of asking for items to be donated toward gift baskets for our silent auction, we have found great success in asking for donations in the form of gift cards. As such, we will continue with collecting gift cards to be used toward purchasing items and prizes for the golf tournament.

Gift card donations should be given to your child’s homeroom teacher in a sealed envelope with the child’s name written on the back. We are kindly asking for donations in amounts of $20 – $100.  For every $20 increment donated, the student will receive a raffle ticket for their chance to win a Chromebook. In addition, bonus tickets can also be earned for every person who registers to participate in Golf Tournament or dinner portion of our event. Contest closes on Friday May 10th 2019 at 3:45pm. A raffle to announce the winner will then take place at Chapel on Monday May 13th.

And of course – we would love to have you join us at this year’s event! To purchase your tickets to the Golf Tournament and Dinner Fundraiser, please visit:

Questions? E-mail Mr. Collier

At Chapel this week Mr. Cope spoke to us summarizing the past few weeks of Chapels Easter emphasis, on the death and resurrection of Jesus.

We enjoyed a sneak preview of Curtain Call’s finale piece from their “Into the Woods Jr” performance. There are still tickets available and we hope you will consider coming out and supporting this amazing Curtain Call group.

This Week in Review

Grade 8 Presentation

On Monday, April 29, the Grade 8 French class was treated to a presentation by Mrs. Michelle Wagman (Curtain Call Director). Students have been looking at the genre of Christian music and the godly motivation that artists have when they write this type of music. Mrs. Wagman sang four songs for us from different artists, and challenged us to be moved by the lyrics. She also informed us about the industry, what is involved in recording a track, and how God speaks through music that honours Him. We were very blessed and appreciative of Mrs. Wagman’s efforts! Last week, Grade 3 BCA student, Emma L. approached our Principal to ask if she could start a student prayer group at the school during recess. Fast forward to one week later and Emma was joined by over 20 students from Grades 1-4 today to spend time reading devotions, sharing prayer requests, and then praying with and for each other. We look forward to seeing how this group continues to grow and help each other in their spiritual journey. Way to go Emma – we are very proud of all your hard work in organizing this very special club at the school! #onlyatbca #bca #burlingtonchristianacademy #burlingtonchristianschool #burlingtonprivateschool #christianeducation #burlON #kidsloveithere #prayer #prayergroup #powerofprayer
